From the Archives -'To his credit' AI video production - proof of concept (2023)

This is a 2023 collaboration between film maker Oliver Moxley and the comedy writer Kevin Maslen. We wanted to see how the process of story telling using AI to generate imagery would work. Moxley Productions used multiple AI technologies to generate both still and moving short clips. And then edited, animated and composited these clips in a traditional way using Final Cut Pro. The voice over was done by Oliver Moxley (who is not an actor). We discovered that doing AI video production in 2023 was very time consuming. Although AI allowed for generation of spectacular imagery, it was a constant battle with glitchy media and strange physics despite our best efforts. Moxley Productions would like to explore this creative path again now that the technology has matured.
